WASTE IS A NEW BEGINNING!
Final conference Project ReBirth
You are kindly invited to attend the final ReBirth project conference
Waste is a new beginning!
Thursday, 5 June 2014 at 10.30 am
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia,
hall a, I. floor, Dimičeva 13, Ljubljana.
Dear Madame, Sir!
Intertwining knowledge and different professional expertise is of key importance for increased recognition of wastes as a source of raw materials and to advance their recovery and use as substitutes for virgin materials. Recycled C&D wastes and wastes from thermal industrial processes, such as steel slag, fly ash, and foundry sands... are significant waste streams, which present potentially promising sources of raw materials, which can be used for construction. Through legislation and green public procurement, state and municipal authorities play an important role in the wider beneficial application of these wastes as raw materials.
Please join us on this year's World Environmental Protection Day which will be devoted to the exchange of national and foreign good practice and experience with insight gained during the ReBirth project. Foreign good practice will be presented by Mr. John Barritt, an expert on aggregates from the UK, who participated in the formation of an end-of waste protocol for quality assurance regarding aggregate production and application from recycled construction waste and steel slag ("end of waste" Quality Protocols for aggregates).
